Shadow to Color brings together ten songs from a prolific stretch of writing and recording. It moves through synth-pop, funk, electronic color, and reflective songwriting. As Robert puts it: “Arising again. These are the few songs that hold together to tell the tale.”

The opening track finds forward motion in a moment of uncertainty. It was the first song Robert made after moving into a new studio and rebuilding his creative setup. “Sometimes motion has to come before certainty.”
